Event Content for LinkedIn vs the Website vs Sales Decks

One event shoot can feed LinkedIn, the website, and sales decks. Those three destinations do not want the same frames, even when they come from the same room.

LinkedIn wants people and energy. The website wants clean, durable images that will not look dated in a year. Sales decks want proof and specificity. If you shoot a generic gallery and hope each team can crop their way there, most of the files will sit unused.

LinkedIn wants people and energy

LinkedIn posts live or die on faces, motion, and a sense that something was happening. Tight shots of conversations, a packed session, a speaker mid-sentence. Wide empty-room frames do not travel well there. A short clip of event video will outperform a static post on that platform, so plan for a few clips, not only stills.

The website wants frames that still work next year

Website photography has a longer shelf life. You want clean compositions, readable branding, and fewer details that date the image: last year's lanyard design, a specific campaign slogan, a crowded overlay of screens. Leave room for text. Avoid frames that only make sense if you were in the room.

Sales decks want proof and specificity

A sales deck needs evidence the company shows up in its industry: a named booth, a specific product demo, a recognizable setting. Vague crowd energy does not help a proposal. Specificity does. Ask for those frames by name on the shot list so they exist when someone builds the next deck.

Shoot for the destination, not a generic gallery

Tell the crew where the files have to live before anyone starts shooting. A few extra frames for each destination cost little on the day and save a lot of unused files afterward.

Before the event, spell out at least this:

  • LinkedIn: people, energy, a few vertical or square crops, and short clips
  • Website: clean, durable, room for overlay, less that will date the frame
  • Sales decks: named proof, product, booth, and specific moments
  • A must-have list so the destinations do not compete for the same two frames
  • Who on your team owns each destination after delivery

Same shoot, three jobs. Brief the crew for LinkedIn energy, website shelf life, and sales proof, and the files come back ready for each. Anytime Picture shoots with those destinations in mind, so you are not left cropping one generic gallery three ways after the fact.
