People still book Las Vegas for more than neon. Springs Preserve is a 180-acre campus of trails, gardens, and the original Las Vegas Springs, listed on the National Register. Sunset Park in the southeast valley has a lake, turf, and picnic lawns that groups actually use. Lorenzi Park holds another in-town lake west of downtown. Lake Mead National Recreation Area is the large water east of the city. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is the west-side escarpment for offsites that want sandstone, not a fountain at the Bellagio.

Those places show up in real programs, not only in tourism copy. A user conference at Venetian Expo often adds a Springs Preserve or Red Rock outing before people fly home.
